About ICR and F.A.Q

ICR is a ministry of instruction and encouragement to pastors, staff members, and key leaders.  ICR purposes to instruct the pastor in revival, personal purity, holiness, Christ life principals and Christ sufficiency.

Habakkuk 3:2  “O LORD, revive they work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”

Frequently Asked Quesitons:

Q         What is ICR?

A         ICR is the International Congress on Revival.  Please see the attached summary about the history of ICR.   As a businessman you will understand the concept of reaching more people by training and encouraging the leaders once a year to take back what they learned and share with their people.

Q         What denomination is ICR.

A         ICR is non denominational.  There are several different backgrounds and religious convictions that attend the conference.

Q         How long is ICR been around?

A         It has been around for 25 years?  A history page is attached.

Q         How is ICR governed?

A         ICR is set up as an Alabama Not-for-Profit Corporation and is governed by a 12 member Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors meets twice a year to approve the budget and direction of the corporation.

Q.        How much money is used for Administration of the ministry?

A.        None. There is no one on payroll.  The only money spent is for Pastor Tim Anderson and his wife Sherry’s plane tickets and hotels.  The rest of the people that go on the mission trips fund all of their expenses.  The administrative functions are handled by professional volunteers.  The Board of Directors fund their accommodations and meals for bi-annual meetings in different parts of the country.  One meal per year is paid for by ICR for the annual meeting.  Ms.  Sherry teaches a class to the wives of the ministers at each of the conferences.

Q         How is ICR funded?

A         ICR is currently funded by churches.  Bill Stafford is an evangelist and was able to travel the country and solicit contributions from churches where he preached.  ICR has always relied on God to provide the money for the conferences.  With the change from Evangelist Bill Stafford to Pastor Tim Anderson, the funding will require a different approach.

Q         How will I measure the results of my contribution?

A         We will send you monthly updates with messages from the conferences and messages from Pastor Tim Anderson.  It is difficult to measure kingdom results until we are in heaven, but we will give you the results and comments from those pastors attending.

Q         Who attends the conferences?

A         Pastors and their wives from all over the country where the conference is being held are welcome.  ICR may pay all or a portion of the expenses.  These pastors may have numerous churches they pastor each week.   Some Christian businessmen also attend the conferences but fund their own expenses.

Q         How many countries does ICR hold congresses now and how many do you plan to try and reach

A         ICR currently has two (2) major conferences a year, one in South Africa the other in Budapest.  We would also like to add South America to the yearly conferences as soon as possible.  We have developed a five year plan to partner with Global Focus and Timothy Barnabas to open up 52 other countries.  A folder is attached explaining how this will be done with minimum funding.

Q         My church funds missions.  Can they get involved instead of individual businessmen?

A         We welcome churches participation and many churches currently participate.  Please share this information with your church and see if they want to get involved.   As I said previously, most churches already have specific mission activities they support.  ICR would like to see churches continue their support to the end user churches while ICR encourages and teaches their pastors and wives through the conferences funded by Christian businessmen.

Q.        How much money is needed per conference and for the five year plan.

A.        Each of the major conferences normally has 2-3 different sessions with approximately 200-250 ministers and their wives attending each. The cost is between $75,000 and  $100,000 for each conference.  Our goal is to raise a minimum of $300,000 per year (for the conferences) and to have a $100,000 in reserve.

Q         What happens if there is not enough money?

A         In the past the Evangelist accepted the responsibility if there was a deficit.  Recently Pastor Tim has taken on the personal debt if ICR was short of funds.  Both have gone out on Faith that the Lord would provide the resources needed.   I believe the Board of Directors will step up to this responsibility along with Christian businessmen that have been blessed in their businesses.

Q         As an investor would I be able to attend any of the conferences?

A         Absolutely, ICR would welcome your participation.  It would of course be at your own expense.  The participation in a conference would truly help you develop a true passion for this ministry.

Q.        How do I participate?

A.        Included in this package is a card to fill out and mail back to ICR.  This is a non-binding pledge card, but like any business, it allows ICR to roll out its five year plan knowing that we will have the financial support.  You will be sent a CD each month along with an envelope to mail your check.  You can elect not to participate at any time, by just letting us know.  While I am approaching this from a business perspective, we never lose site that this is a faith ministry and we need your prayers.
